Message from the President

Time after time, I have been questioned about why I choose to commit to this Programme every year. For 5 long years I have asked myself this question as well, and the honest truth is that this programme is a remarkable programme that I believe in. When we first started in 2009, we focused heavily on the notion that English was a language that everyone needed to learn. No matter if it was for interviews into Universities, business negotiations, or even your casual chat with friends.

As we see the world change around us, we too must change. While we argue that English will always be the universal language on this planet, we tend to forget that public speaking, or in simpler terms, how we communicate with one another is as important to English or any other language. The way we order a cup of tea is public speaking. The words we choose when we address our love ones is public speaking. There is always the misconception that public speaking is restricted to some grand events or competitions.

The truth is, public speaking is a way of life. We solve problems through public speaking and we build relationships with public speaking. That is why I am proud to be an Ambassador. Our goal is not to teach you English, but to help you express yourself. We strive to equip every student with the skills they need to carry with them into their future. It sounds like a cliché, and it is, but it does not make it any less true.

For those who believe in this philosophy, I welcome you to be part our mission for a better communicative world.

Welcome to the Ambassador Programme.

President

Brian Carl
