1. Read more
That way, you can learn more new vocabulary and read at a quicker pace when doing the actual paper.
2. Go through a variety of reading material.
Quality matters just as much as quantity does. As DSE Paper 1 material can range from excerpts from books to argumentative articles on hot topics of all kinds, you must familiarize yourself with different kinds of reading material in order to be well- prepared for the test.
3. Remember to look up the vocabulary you don’t know while doing so!
You never know, it just might come up during the actual test.
4. Understand the requirements of different question types.
If you can immediately pin down WHAT they’re asking you about, you can easily maximize the number of marks you get. One way to do so would be to go through past paper questions so to analyze question- answer patterns.
5. Do more past papers.
As they say, practice makes perfect!
